Louise Rosarbo Dinsmore
Louise Dinsmore is a seasoned development executive and the driving force behind Partners in Philanthropy, LLC. With over 32 years of hands-on experience spanning major non-profit institutions and specialized consulting, Louise has mastered the art of capital campaign execution, major gift solicitation, and strategic relationship-building.
Her distinguished career began at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where she rapidly advanced from Director of Annual Giving to Director of Major Gifts. During her tenure, she championed the President’s Club leadership society—skyrocketing its membership from 18 to 140, boosting overall annual giving by 68%, and closing a pivotal $1 million capital gift.
Louise’s landmark institutional achievement was serving as Capital Campaign Director for the University of Rhode Island’s (URI) Convocation Center. At the time, it was the largest capital project in university history. Louise orchestrated a massive $15 million drive fueled by 1,000+ donors, collaborating closely with high-profile leaders like Governor Lincoln Almond and former CVS/Caremark CEO Thomas M. Ryan. Following this success, she stepped in as URI’s Director of Athletic Development, scaling annual athletic giving from $950,000 to $1.7 million in just three years.
Later, as Director of Major and Planned Gifts at Women & Infants Hospital, Louise drove the $23 million ONWARD Campaign to build the nation’s largest neonatal intensive care unit, securing $550,000 in her first few months alone.
Deeply committed to community impact, Louise co-founded the Gabrielle Dinsmore Heart & Hope Fund to honor the memory of her daughter. Over seven years of operation, she raised $1.3 million to establish Gabrielle’s Heart Camp—the region's only camp for children with congenital heart defects. The organization's legacy endures through two permanent endowments at the Rhode Island Foundation, benefiting four pediatric cardiology programs across New England.
Louise holds a B.A. in Political Science from Providence College. She and her husband, Jeffrey, have been married for 22 years, and have a son, Jovani.
