Our firm was involved in every aspect of the "Building a Community of Smiles" Capital Campaign. Thundermist Health Center sought to raise funding from charitable investors to support the renovation of a West Warwick facility to house their expanded dental services. Realizing an enormous need from the community for dental care in receiving more than 45,000 calls annually and 1,200 patients on waiting list, Thundermist purchased a building on 5 Washington Street in the Arctic section of West Warwick as their new home for the dental program.
Director of Development, Jessica Null, contacted Louise Dinsmore when Thundermist was contemplating a Capital Campaign as the leadership team realized they had little experience in planning, managing and executed a campaign. Working together, we hit the ground running. Partners in Philanthropy served as the capital campaign consultant from start to finish conducting a feasibility study, identifying and recruiting members of the Campaign Steering Committee, soliciting the Board members for their campaign gifts, helping to edit the campaign case statement, identifying corporate and foundation charitable investors, soliciting those corporate and foundation charitable investors, and identifying naming opportunities.
We surpassed our "working" campaign goal and helped to raise over $1.3 million towards the renovation costs. This was one of our "dream" projects to work on as our partnership with CEO, Jeanne LaChance, Chief of Staff, Amanda Barney, and Jessica Null was extremely worthwhile and gratifying.
